We’re delighted to launch the new format “Champions” event for managers and leaders in Glasgow and surrounding area tourism sector. With a new look event and some fantastic speakers, we’ll be outlining the latest developments and opportunities for Glasgow’s tourism & hospitality businesses.
Hosted by the Chair of the Glasgow Welcomes Initiative, Craig Martin of Glasgow Airport, this quarterly event is a valuable development opportunity for like-minded people from all sectors of the Glasgow tourism and hospitality industry who are passionate about customer service excellence.
These informal events are ideal to learn from each other and to share experiences. We will hear from the following inspirational speakers:
“In conversation with” Petra Wetzel, founder of WEST Brewery. Petra will take us on her journey which started when she visited Scotland on a school exchange trip, to becoming a proud “Gerwegian” and creating WEST Brewery, Bar and Restaurant. She’ll share the ethos and culture of WEST, her passion for innovation and the importance of supporting budding entrepreneurs. Hosted by Craig Martin.
“In the Spotlight”... a five minute insight into the new mental healthcharity Hospitality Health, by Gordon McIntyre, City of Glasgow College & Vice-Chair of Glasgow Welcomes.
The Glasgow Tourism & Visitor Plan - an update and opportunities for Glasgow businesses to get involved: Sallyann Tindall, Scottish Enterprise.
Craig will also present certificates to winners of the Spring GW Business Recognition awards, who will share details of their successful service excellence initiatives.
The event will finish with the opportunity to network over drinks and canapes in the WEST Courtyard. Sample the famous WEST beer!
