Resort Assistant (Seasonal - Fixed Term June - September - 12 weeks)
Cameron House is a 5* luxury resort located on the South West Shores of Loch Lomond, 40 minutes from Glasgow City Centre. We are looking to recruit additional assistance over the summer months as our Lodges, Restaurants, Spa, and Golf course anticipate increased volumes of owners, members and guests throughout our facilities.
As a result we are looking to build a small team of Resort Assistants who will supporting the following departments during peak times of demand:
Claret Jug Restaurant and Bar*
Boathouse Restaurant and Bar*
Golf Operations
Spa Operations
Concierge and Nights*
As Resort Assistant you might be serving food to our guests, or washing dishes in the kitchen, preparing a latte, or re-stocking towels, directing traffic, or helping on the golf course. You’ll be multi-skilled and will multi task, moving around the resort, helping the team where they are busy, perhaps even across different departments during a single shift.
We are looking for someone who is adaptable and flexible, with great people skills and an approachable friendly personality. This is an exciting, diverse, and challenging role, ideal for anyone wishing to explore working in the hospitality industry to gain experience in a fun working environment, or to build their guest service experience in a 5* resort setting.
Working hours will vary according to business levels, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week - some weeks the available hours may be considerably more. Due to licencing requirements, applicants must be over 18 years of age and we require applicants to be available to routinely work evenings and weekends. Work will be across both Carrick and Cameron House locations, and shifts will be varied the earliest start from 7am, and the latest finish in the wee small hours of the morning in the restaurant outlets. As a result having your own transport would be a significant advantage.
Applicants must be available to begin work on Monday 18th June, as a structured induction and training week will take place from this date (5 days of intensive training will be required). This is a fixed term position which will end on the 9th September 2018. (A maximum of 1 week of holiday leave may be requested throughout the period, the remainder of holidays accrued and not taken will be processed and paid at the end of the term of employment).
In return, we can offer a fun fast paced and 5* environment, uniform, training, free parking and meals on duty. Rate of pay will be from 7.38-7.83 per hour dependant on age.
