In 2018 a research report was commissioned by Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park to better understand the priorities of campers visiting the Park, including their satisfaction levels, opportunities for improvements, and the economic impact of their activities.
These insights will inform opportunities for businesses, and for the National Park Authority and its partners, to develop new products and services to meet demand and ensure that campers enjoy a high quality, authentic experience when visiting the National Park.
The overall research aim was to explore the experiences of all types of camper, in relation to these key objectives:
Profile of campers
Planning and booking behaviours and motivations
Profile of camping trips taken in the Park
Evaluation of camping experiences
